I trialled Skype for a month and have liked it so much I have cancelled my long distance subscription with Telus. I have family/friends in the UK and friends in Australia and New Zealand so the super low call costs are great. I also subscribe for a UK phone number so now anyone in the UK can call us on the cheap too. Call quality 90% of the time is as good or better than a traditional landline. Occasionally it can get a little squelchy but not so it becomes an issue. Customer service may be a problem - they actually admit to not answering all e-mails (no calls) on their website but since there have been no problems that has yet to become an issue.
