I live in Manhattan and my cable internet connection is earthlink (Time Warner). I started using SunRocket voip service for the last two to three weeks and I find the quality of the voice and the service reliabilty as more than I have ever hoped for. Verizon Telephone service basic plan on paper was $8.95 but it's 9 cents per call to any local phone in the five boroughs of New York City. Regional calls and interstate calls are additional. Including taxes and FCC fees, etc... it goes up to $28.00/month. SunRocket Voip service allows me to call anywhere in the continental US and Canada for free with my $199.00/year contract plus they give me $3.00 worth of FREE international calls per month which is around 17 minutes to the Philippines (0.17 cents/minute). The quality of the voice is much better and clearer than Verizon. I am waiting for SunRocket to transfer my number from Verizon and to end my service with the latter for good! There was a slight service interruption last March 24, 2005 because one of their cables got cut off but SunRocket customer service was quick to send an apology via e-mail on the same day and I thank them for that! SunRocket is "the" Phone Company of the future doing business Now !...Thanks SunRocket, you made my life worth "calling" out!....
